James R. Black is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, and was appointed to such positions effective upon the CCB Merger in November 2017. From 2012 until the CCB Merger, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of CCB Bankshares, Inc. and Citizens Community Bank. Mr. Black has over 26 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry and has served as chief financial officer for established and de novo community banks and as a bank examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond for six years. He is a 1993 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with concentrations in finance and economics and earned his accreditation as a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1999. Mr. Black was appointed a director of Citizens Community Bank in 2014 and was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Bank upon the completion of the CCB Merger in November 2017.
